Notice:
  1. TKU students (not including post-baccalaureate multi-specialty training students, and those who extend the time for graduation) may apply for a double major in the second semester of each academic year, and register their application online within the time specified in the academic calendar.
  2. TKU students (not including post-baccalaureate multi-specialty training students, and those who extend the time for graduation) may apply for a minor in the second semester of each academic year, and register their application online within the time specified in the academic calendar.
  3. Undergraduate students in the day program of TKU who are in their third year or below (fourth year or below for students of the Department of Architecture) may apply, starting from the second semester of each academic year, to enroll in a specific minor or a second major in the following academic year. During their period of study, each student may apply for one specific minor, two specific minors, or one second major only.
  4. Departments applied as minors or double majors cannot be applied as specific minor or second major; departments applied as specific minor or second major cannot be applied as minors or double majors as well.
  5. After online registration for a minor or a double major, students will be eligible to take related courses starting from the 115 academic year, and the relevant required courses and credits will be based on the regulations of the 115 academic year.
  6. After online registration for a specific minor or a second major, students will be eligible to take related courses starting from the 115 academic year, and the relevant required courses and credits will be based on the regulations of the graduation verification of academic year.
  7. Mainland Chinese students can only apply for a minor/double major in a department that has gained official approval from the Ministry of Education (MOE) to admit students from Mainland China for that academic year.
  8. Graduate students may apply for a minor in an academic program at the same level or a lower level. However, some graduate programs do not accept minors. Please be sure to confirm with the relevant departments before applying.
  9. Relinquishment of a minor/a double major/a specific minor: Students must complete at least one year of study before applying to relinquish the qualification and they must apply for relinquishment within the specified time frame.
  10. Intercollegiate minor/double major applications and renunciations require the completion of a paper application form and approval from both schools. Online submission is not available for these processes.
  11. Please refer to the university calendar for the dates of study application and relinquishment application. For other related regulations, please refer to the Academic Regulations for "TKU Regulations for Students Undertaking an Academic Double Major" and "TKU Regulations on Students Undertaking an Academic Minor" and "TKU Implementation Guidelines for Interdisciplinary Courses".
  12. Starting from the 115th academic year, Division of Electronics and Information Engineering/Division of Electrical and Communication Engineering/Division of Electrical and Systems Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will be merged into the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering; the Department of Public Administration will be renamed as the Department of Public Administration and Law. Therefore, students who have previously applied for a minor, double major, or specific minor in the aforementioned two departments (or groups) are ineligible to apply for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering or the Department of Public Administration and Law again.
  13. The list of students registered for minor, double major, minor specialty, and second major will be announced on the Center for Registration-Curriculum Development's website under "Latest News" after June 10, 2026.
